What I liked about hourly comic day: You're forced to find inspiration in the mundane, and challenged to present it in a way that is more interesting. It also kind of encouraged me to go out and DO things so I'm not stuck drawing my computer all day. Maybe people would think that's disingenuous or "toxic," but anything that discourages doomscrolling on a day off has got to be a net positive, doesn't it?

What's the difference between a speedpainting and a sketch? I suppose a speedpainting is meant to be "finished." I broke a special dish. :( I've been curious about kintsugi, and now I have an excuse! What I don't have, however, is urushi, so instead I am trying out Alex's method using Art Resin and edible gold dust to turn my dish from busted into beautiful again! By the way, the paintbrush came clean of resin using rubbing alcohol before it was cured. Woohoo! A pure kintsugi video: ruclips.net/video/NLvc...
